November 2009

This is a scheduled post - I am away from computer from 29th Nov to 08th December 2009. Probably eating seafood at Sydney now.. HEHEHEHE

Previously, I bought a lot of fruits from Brisbane Market. I bought a whole box of mangoes! Whoa… so shiok man I tell you. The satisfaction is hard to describe. It’s like I know each and every of the prettiest girls in high school.

When I was young, I do not have many chances to eat a whole mango by myself. My mum would cut the mango into pieces and share with family. My sister and I would fight for the largest piece of mango (and I win, of course)

Mango is a scarce commodity at my family because it’s too expensive.

Now.. I own a WHOLE BOX of mangoes!  Remove the skin and and suck the mango flesh by yourself! Fucking satisfying >:D

Today I will show you how I usually eat my OWN-PERSONAL-MANGO. Huhuhuhuhu.

The following photos will explain everything

Cut the flesh carefully here ya.. don’t cut through the mango skin. Cut a line probably one inch deep, depending on how large is your mango.

Hold on both side of the mango, and push out from the middle.

This is where the magic happens :)

Consume at will!

Tip: use a spoon to korek all the remaining flesh, or you can suck it gao gao – another form of pleasure experience

.. probably I am sucking oysters at Sydney Fish Market now. Give me a call or sms – I’ll MMS you what I am doing :) 0431565176 (optus)

I am glad to make restaurant reviews for my website, Brisbane Student Guide. Why? 7 weeks left in Brisbane, I need to maximize my time.

Jerry is my great partner in crime, he loves the idea of tasting different restaurants before we go back. Plus, he owns a car. We don’t have to ride bus, which is a HUGE time saver.

Perfect chance to write more restaurant reviews too :) Here are the restaurant reviews I written so far. Click here.

A lot of the photos I used in Brisbane Student Guide (BSG) are repeatedly use in my personal blog. I only post up related photos in BSG though, cause no one will be interested to see how the author looked like :P

Here are some photos taken with my camera, Lumic LX3. If you are interested in this Ajisen food review, click here.

Serena and Jerry. Serena is a quiet girl, and Jerry is talkative. I wonder how they get along together so well.

Ah, Jerry has a good set of skills when he treats women. Many things to learn from him. Girls surround him always. Ish, nget sai.

Ohhh! I talk many good things about “great smile” and “excellent customer service” in BSG article. What I was referring to is actually this waitress. Fuah! she’s pretty!

I act cool when I see girls I like. I know most of the guys are like that too. Why ar? Girls prefer cool guys, so we tend to act that way too?

I only know I am stupidly funny when I am under alcohol influence.. hahaha.

This photo is funny. We posed in front of camera for long long long time while Jerry figure out how to use my zoom function (as well as the focus function) in order to get best shot of the girl behind us.

I turned about and looked at her, so-so only. But Jerry says she’s really fucking good looking. He took approximately 5-6 photos.

When she finished her food, she walked pass us and pay the bills. Jerry immediately apologize. Hehe.

This comic is FUCKING HILARIOUS!! can anyone get me a link of this comic? I want to download! drop a comment if you are interested in this comic, I’ll send you the download link if I get it. Jerry and Chuan told me this comic is pretty old, they read it during highschool. Hmm, how come I didn’t notice this comic at all.

Must be the Sejarah text book… kononnya.

Chuan’s dish. All of them taste the same. Haha. Chuan ordered extra side dish.. very gin yau!

Jerry’s meal.

After dinner, we walked to Kurilpa Bridge, which is just behind Ajisen Ramen. We finally had the chance to explore this bridge since it’s launch one month ago. Always wanted to ride bicycle on this bridge, guess I still have 7 weeks left.

This is how Kurilpa Bridge looks like. Image taken from Wikipedia.

The history and bla bla bla bla bla bla bla.

And lastly, a photo taken on the bridge.

Oh yea baby, I am starting to master my LX3 liao.

Wow, it’s already week 47 as I am writing this entry. Time really don’t give face ^^;

Here’s a recap for week 41.. and yes, there are week 42, 43, 44, 45, 46, and this week, week 47. I don’t have to time to write, been very hectic these few days. No more than 5 minutes a day in front of computer.

If I have a laptop with me while I travel in car, probably I can write a novel already.

Anyway, here’s the recap.

Practicing my golf swing at driving range, Jerry took this photo. I blogged about this here.

Took some photos for my Brisbane Student Guide website… Haven’t publish this entry yet. 50 pending posts yet to be published. Shit, my drafts posts are piling up but published contents are slowing down. Need someone to proof read for me.

This is another restaurant review I did for Brisbane Student Guide. Visit that website if you want more restaurant reviews.

One night at shabu-shabu restaurant. We had to separate table because buffet meals and normal meals are not allowed to sit in same table. Separate table is not fun :(

One of our senior, Queenie. Invited us over for her housewarming. She has a private pool! so cool!

Queenie is vegetarian. Few days before we go to her house, we purposely eat hell lots of meat because we expect to eat green vegetables at her house. WE WERE FUCKING WRONG.They served the best vegetarian food ever – and 90% are meat (vegetarian meat).

….. I swear almost became vegetarian. I tried and didn’t last for 20 hours.

A random dog at Hawken Drive. Still learning how to use my LX3 camera.

Crowds were queuing up in front of HMV music store. I wondered which artist appear at shop today. One of them told me they were queuing up for Big Day Out ticket..

“Ohhh! Cheers mate! Enjoy the concert!” I replied them in Aussie slang English, heheh.

Jerry keep holding the big camera. He was sooooo passionate about photography. However, two weeks later.. his attention changed to other gadgets – iPhone.

.. and now, he is proud owner of Apple products.

“Are you buying camera soon?”

“No” he replied.

Very delicious ice-cream muaji. Wanted to blog about this but decided not to. No point in explaining how good a muaji tastes -_-”

The other day a friend of mine call me “翻版佬” (The Bootleg Guy).. my old nick name. I haven’t been called like that since high school.

Why 翻版佬??

I download and burn pirated CDs.. hahaha. I sold RM5-RM10 per CD, and I was making a pretty good side income during my high school.

… good enough to buy drinks and fill car petrol.

Do you have any side-income during high school?

I worked on my project until morning yesterday (rush!), didn’t realize it was sunrise until I heard birds chirping outside my room.

The birds chirp louder than usual, I decided to take a short video to show to you. I want to do some short video projects. That should be fun, hmmm :)

Brisbane market is the largest fruit and vegetable supermarket in Brisbane.

This market only opens 3 days a week, and two hours for each session. Very lan si one! This is supposedly a wholesale market specially opened for restaurant owners and small-sized fruit stores. The market only opens to public when “bigger players” done with their purchases.

Fruits and vegetables here sells in a fucking cheap price, especially in-seasoned ones.

We are only allowed to drive 20km/h inside the car park area – many big trucks are constantly in moving. My grandmother can walk faster than truck, hahaha. But it’s a good practice nevertheless.

One thing I admire about the culture of Australia, they obey rules – especially road speed limit. If you drive 40km/h in this area, they will point middle finger at you.

Like this : “NAH” t(-_-t)

Jerry came to this market few months ago. His experience is bit different. He claims he had troubles navigating this market because it was packed with people and huge boxes of fruits and vegetables. People don’t use plastic bags to purchase their items – they use trolleys.

Why trolleys? You look at these photos, then you will understand.

All items are sold in HUGE BOXES! I don’t know how to buy watermelon here leh… hahahaha.

From top right (clockwise) – orange, onion, watermelon, apple, mango and tomato. My dad will be delighted if they sell durian in boxes. He probably will look at me and say “son, my life is complete.” Hahahhaha. He really goes crazy with durians. I probably go crazy with girls (hehe)

The price are usually written on floor with chalk. Very effective and dirt easy solution don’t you think? ;) The unit of measurement is “per box”. If you ask him “how much are you selling this per kilo?” They give you the same respond again..

“NAH” t(-_-t)

We wanted to buy sooooooooooo many things, the dirt cheap price makes every thing so tempting! Even for the vegetables we don’t like! I am a sucker for cheap stuffs, heh. The problem is, we are not able to consume everything in short period of time.

However, we are not going back empty handed.

Bing: “We must buy something”

Jerry: “I agree. Even if we can’t finish the food, we must buy! I don’t care!”

Bing: “Yaloh yaloh. We can share with friends mah. Next time we plan another trip again, and we drive lorry.”

We didn’t spend time hunting for the best price – all the fruits and vegetables offers similar price. We look for the fruits that LOOKED THE BEST. lol.

I chose honeydew, can make honeydew sago. yummy yummy. Guess how much this box of honey dew cost?

$8. Fucking EIGHT BUCKS.

In Coles, they are selling half honeydew for $1.85 – ridiculous!

Jerry chose a box of mango. The price is $18.

In normal fruit stores, its not rare to see price goes up to $3-$4 for one mango. $18 for 12 mangoes? SAP SAP SUI lahhh!!

We wanted to buy more – but we had problem carrying the heavy boxes around. So we ended our session abruptly. We swear we will return with a trolley next time, along with a lorry. Heh heh..

(I had to take this shot, can’t help it)

I HAVE BIG BALLS HAHAHA
