April 2010

The last time I celebrated my birthday at Malaysia was year 2003, then off to oversea for studies. That birthday night, I bought 3 bottles of Chivas. For the first time in my life, I vomitted. That vomit cost me RM1,000.

I danced to “Yeah” song from Usher all. night. long.

Fast forward to year 2010. This year, I am celebrating my birthday at Malaysia. At Library to be exact.. the pub is called Library. Hehe. Funny name.

Well, maybe I should emphasize the word gathering because that’s what I told my friends, “hey come gather this weekend, enjoy and have fun!”

I haven’t seen some of my high school friends for years. It’s a perfect weekend to hang out together. I did not intent to celebrate at first, that day just happens to be my birthday :)

And boy, I am lucky to have girl friends among them. If not, this would be sausage fest again. From top right – Joyce, Alice, Pheon and Siew.

The special night coincidentally has colour theme to it, which you probably see from the colour of this post – green and black.

Even the whole photo album looks the same! so nice right?

… and look at what everyone is wearing! green and black! The atmosphere and theme setting of the night also green and black, the official beer, Carlsberg too! I’ve just decided green is the colour of the year.

And I am wearing green dai fu to casino this year :D

We had so much Hoegaarden beer that night, buy 1 pint free another half pint. RM32 a pint for fuck sake. I don’t understand why Hoegaarden is so expensive, it’s a BEER.

At European country, they sell some beer for only €1. The price of Hoegaarden will eventually come down. But that gotta take some time cause Hoegaarden has wide fan base. Even friends who don’t drink beer say it tastes damn good.

Tooheys Dry and VB are the best beer I had so far. Both Australian beers.

Hoegaarden is a wonderful beer, don’t get me wrong. Drink a few pints you’ll still get the dizzy feeling (like that baru syok maaa).

Hmmm, when can I swim in my pond of beer pool leh?

Surprise birthday cake!! Was not expecting this at all ^^;

The best part is having whole table of friends singing birthday song to me. Hou song aaaaaaaa.

This year I didn’t get any birthday kiss. Bleh… continue part two tomorrow!

Oh, I am 25 this year. You can wish me Happy birthday in comment box if you haven’t done so.. HEHEHEHEE.

This photo is taken at Sydney City (7.30am), I woke up at 7am and wander around the city. It’s cold.

With me, only a $10 dollar note and a camera, Directionless. I want to feel the breath of the city.

It’s awesome.

This post covers my 3rd day trip at Australia during summer holiday. You can find the previous posts here: Day 1, Day 2(a) and Day 2(b).

Bondi beach is our first destination. It’s one of the well known beach at Australia, lots of surfers and chicks. However, the weather that day wasn’t good. Didn’t take many photos. Stormy day :( hence only a few kaki surfers at beach. All chicks surround themselves with towel. Spoil scenary man..

The rain pours heavily, we have to reroute our itinerary and schedule. Used iPhone to check the location and opening hours of the interesting places.

Sit at local coffee shops, purposely sit beside two leng lui. Hehehehehehe. Jerry took so many of their close up photos. He zoom my camera to the max…

We decided to return here again when the weather is better.

Chris is unable to focus. His exam result comes out today. If he passes everything, we got a happy trip. If failed, his face will turn darker than 古天樂.

“Where is wifi? where is wifi? where is wifi? where is wifi?” – that’s what we hear from him since morning.

We finally found free wifi at McDonald. Result? ALL PASS!

“I spend you guys eat ok!!!!” he shouted in McD.

He bought us ice-cream ^^

Harris De Wheel Pies is one of our must-go places in Sydney trip. Highly recommended by peers and online reviews. Blehh, high review 個屁. Looks good la, but doesn’t taste as good as I anticipated.

Eh guys? Did I eat this pie? I can’t eat beef wo. How come I know how the pie tastes like? maybe I DID have a bite.

We had to pay at least $6 for an hour of parking in order to taste that pie. Mehh.. not worth it. I rather eat at McDonald. It’s one of the disappointments for our whole trip. (…and this is the only, I think)

Going travel with a bunch of friends who can’t make firm decisions, always say “隨便啦,我都可以的” is a good idea. No fuss over small matters, and appreciate every moment we hang out.

But when we fight for toilet, we don’t give face to each other lah.

“Shit you, go pangsai downstairs la wei, mine half way out already!” :D

Oh, there is another complain I almost forget. Chester keeps complaining “Ha… eat again meh….” He is the one who comes up with the idea must enter any restaurant every 100 steps. He regrets with his own idea.

At Sydney Darling Harbour, awesome weather :)

We visited Maritine Museum under 15 minutes, just in time to tour the whole museum before they close. Free entrance.

I strongly recommend you guys to visit Pancakes On The Rocks (at Darling Harbour one) Why would I say that? Apart from the good looking and delicious pancakes, there are so fucking ridiculous huge numbers of attractive female customers!!

We had doubts about going into the restaurant because of the staggering amount of pretty girls. The main reason we are reluctant is because we are not wearing our best suits. Hahahahah.

We were so cool when we’re in the restaurant, you gotta be there to see. It is so funny.

We return to Bondi beach again. This time with better weather.

You Only Live Once – No regrets on whatever path you decided to take. For me, that is so true. Live life to the fullest, and appreciate every moment. Are you working towards your dream? or do you complain everyday? Deep inside you, you know the choice is ultimately yours.

People reading at Bondi beach, punya syokkkkkkkk. Looks like a movie scene, must take photo :)

I wish I do that some time too – with a girl without cloths.

This is the first time I witness huge wave. The rock in middle is 6 feet tall, same as me. The wave is almost twice as tall as me ^^;

The whole scenery is simply breath-taking.

Finally, we reached our main event of the day. Hurricane’s Grill & Bar Steakhouse Restaurant.

We waited one hour in the queue, had some beer because it was cold outside. Those gwai poh nipples also become hard liao but they still wear little -_- I don’t understand. There’s a sentence in hakka, oi liang mm oi miang (要美不要命) which means to sacrifice to become pretty.

Good also la, we got free eye-treatment. Whenever there’s pretty chick walk by, four of us immediately become quiet ^^;

“Wahhh her nen nen can drill hole o..”

Hurricane Restaurant is famous with their BQQ ribs, fucking huge ones! You can choose either pork or lamb. One plate costs AUD$32, around RM100. Besides ribs, you do not have other choices. Hahaa. They serve only RIBS.

Cut those ribs into single stripes, then use finger to hold on the end of the bone, tear the whole piece of meat by mouth. WHOAAAAAAAAA whole chunk of chewy and juicy meat lastik in your mouth, BBQ sauce flow from side of your lips. *nom nom nom nom nom nom*

We ate like barbarians. so syokkkkkk!!

It is finger lickin’ good. Was good while it lasted.

After the meal, we went back to our backpacker hotel, took a shower. Off to Sydney Casino!!

I am prohibited to take photo at casino, so I’ll tell you what I experienced inside:

  • Saw a few familiar poker players there, always appear on World Poker Series Championship. They are treated like VIP in casino.
  • Jerry lost $100
  • Each cup of drinks cost $2, but we found a fault machine, so we get our drinks for free ^^; Jerry wanted to drink 50 cups to compensate his loss.
  • Sydney Casino is old and dirty, Melbourne Crown casino is the best.

This is only 3/10 of my journey. If you don’t want to miss any post, make sure you sign up my RSS or follow me at Twitter!

I’ve Got a Feeling…
Like last night wasn’t such a good night
Cause my head really doesn’t feel right
And god dammit, the sun is too, too bright

My leg is bleeding…
And my clothes smell like they might ignite
And I guess at some point I stole a kite
And my girlfriend and I had a huge, huge fight

My brains on fire
Drank way too much
Swallow an Advil
Then throw it up
Can’t find my cell phone
Oh. There it is
It’s in the toaster
12 messages

I know you ignored my calls
Cause you made out with Karen
Don’t lie, Rachel saw
I hate you, don’t call me, you sad sack of shit
By the way, to get even I showed Mike my tits

Shit. shit. shit. shit.

So that was bad
I messed up
But Karen Patrick, damn that girls… Hot!
This must be her
Well done monsieur
Oh Karen Blatt?
I’m gonna throw up again

I’ve got a feeling…
That today’s gonna be a long day
God, I wish Mickey D’s had a buffet
And I increasingly think I broke my leg

Cause I can’t feel it…
And I vaguely remember a slight fray
Holy crap, it’s my mom. What do I say?
Cause I can’t let her take my car away

Last night was fun (DRINK!)
I studied hard (DON’T BE A BITCH!)
I wrote an essay (COLLEGE!)
About the Bard (Shakespeare’s gay)
Went to bed early (BEER RUN!)
I’m eating right (This is so good)
Another call, Mom.
I love you… Too!

Hey pumpkin bear (Sup?)
I messed up I drank tequila (What the hell?)
It fucked me… up
I love you Gina (Karen Blatt?)
I made mistakes (Woo!)
Wait, I did what?
Now I remember again…

I caught Mike, threw a punch
Thought that he dropped-drop-drop-drop
He got up, grabbed a bat
Too drunk to block-block-block-block
Hit my leg, really hard
Blacked out from shock-shock-shock
Woke up here, so now I know
Let’s start from the top

I’ve got a feeling…
That last night was a freaking great night
That I got in a really sweet fight
And above all I now own an awesome kite

Mr. Jones

Mr. Jones is an American who purposely fly to Singapore to eat KFC. Jones was so disappointed with the quality of food. He arranged a a press conference, and he said:

“Walau-eh.. why KFC here taste like shit? Cibai, I can cook better than this!”

He fork out his ham ka fortune to open a small burger stall. At first, his burger business was not performing well because lack of reputation.

Days went by. He became stress.

When he realised, he is already BOTAK due to the enormous pressure of not selling any burger for months.

One day, while Jones was flipping burger, one 臭 Ah Beng customer came.

“Botak Jones, gimme one burger leh. I am sibeh hungry, quick!”. Since that day, more and more customers call him Botak Jones. He changed his business to BotakJones, and boom! His business grow rapidly. Now he own few branches around Singapore.

Walau-eh. This is such a lame story. But I enjoy writing it.. hahahaha. I made up the story so please don’t sue me.

Shannon says “Have you tried Botak Jones yet? They serve huge burger patties. I cannot finish the burger sometimes. Let’s get our dinner there”

I am tempted to try U-CRAZY-WHAT?! burger, unfortunately I stopped devouring beef two years ago. If not, I will order the whole cow instead of patties.

$5 for a bottle of cold beer, it’s too hard to resist.

The Double Botak – Shannon ordered this. The meal comes with side dishes of your choice. He chose fries and coleslaw. On top of that, you have free flow of mustard, ketchup and chili sauce.

135 grams per piece of patty. 270 grams for both… weigh like a huge piece of steak. Plus side dishes and beer – Ah, ngam ngam hou. There’s nothing to be afraid of when end of the world is near. I die like a happy ghost.

Cajun Chicken Burger – Whole piece of chicken breast marinated with Cajun and melted with mozzarella cheese. Aih.. read the menu description also cannot tahan already. Must order this.

The chicken must be on steroid. Only one side of its breast is huge enough to slap the customer beside you.

I ordered mash potatoes and steamed vegetables for my side dish.

Don’t you think this photo is damn perfect? 完美無暇, baby.

Shannon drizzles all the sauce on his fries. And he separated the twin patties from the burger because it’s too huge.

I told Shannon that I need to do cardio exercise for 3 days non-stop to burn off these fats.

Worth it.

Update: Locations of Botak Jones (scattered around Singapore)
