OMG, is already July. Shitto!

I still remember writing May’s monthly report not long ago.

June has been a great month in terms of traffic for ahbing.com. One of the pillar posts (KK Food) has generated lots of traffic, as expected However, that posts makes me slack off a whole week cause I *think* I deserve a long rest after devoting so much time on it.

Most of the effort gone to another website of mine, Manyholes.com (expecting to launch this month)

Overall Traffic

Visits: 5,362 (+2,224 visits)
Average per day: 178 visitors
Pageviews: 8,182 (+3,098 pageviews)
Average Time on Site: 1 minute 46 seconds (+1 second)

Not surprisingly, the traffic bump is the result of KK Food post. It gained so much traffic and viral among friends and almost everyone is talking about it.

“Ui, your KK food post is very nice oh!” even people I never met before said this to me ^^; But what you don’t know is, most of the comments are negative wan la… “Ngai diao you… you make me HOME SICK!!! ARGHHHHH!!!! T_T ”

Glad to know this post has such huge impact on you

With the sudden surge of traffic, I hope to capitalise this traffic to increase more loyal readers. So I added a RSS banner at the end of each posts, but it didn’t work out too well. My RSS reader is still on 80 readers mark.. for half year already. What is RSS?

What Did I Learn From This KK Food Post

• Readers want food and map in same page. Must keep it simple stupid.
• Readers loves lists post, especially resources post.
• Good shits spread like viral.
• Majority of my readers do not use twitters, or do not know how to capitalise on it yet.
• I failed to convert readers to long term readers. But that’s okay, this is a personal blog, not trying to build a brand here.

Result is similar with every month. Facebook is where most of my readers hang out, not surprisingly traffics are from there.

Could have written more posts—but if you’re following me at Twitter, I occupy most of my time with sports and night clubs. Leaving me 4-5 hours working hour daily – and I choose to spend most of the time on my projects. I probably only spend 5-6 hours each week on this blog.

My Next Plan

• Change header – I am going to raise the sexiness of my website to another level. I want to put my face BIG BIG on my blog, so my mum knows this blog belongs to me.
• Add ads space – Haven’t decide which sort of ad size to put. Advertisers stopped approaching me also.. it’s a good news la. I don’t want too many ads taking up my blog space. Keep it simple
• Add a column for sponsorers – My first sponsorer, My-Ads.com.my. I will make a special box for others sponsorers as well.
• Another pillar post – This is going to be fun! I am spending majority of my time outdoor starting next week, to gather more photos and information for next pillar posts ahead. I am going to introduce all cool and interesting KK stuffs for you.
