We Are Walking Zombie from Malaysia
Wake up to catch bus to Phnom Penh, after only 4 hours of sleep.. head is pounding painfully from yesterday’s crazy night with tuk tuk driver.
Must be too much Angkor beer (!)
Buffolo 1:0 Bus (tourist bus accident, 1 dead)
Freak accident happened in the high way along Siam Reap > Phnom Penh route. From what we’ve heard, the tour bus collided with a stray buffolo.
The buffolo is dead, and the tour bus flipped over.
We saw a body covered at road side, and plenty of blood on the road, the body belongs to one of the tourists
A heart-throbbing scene, which reminds us to be extra careful on every thing we do, and don’t take things for granted.
Live every day thinking its your last, someday you’ll be right. #YOLO (You Only Live Once)
Deja’ vu – we meet again
This time our tuk tuk driver is Chorn, Makara’s brother. They both really looked alike.. this elder brother is mature than the younger brother. Hopefully he stays the same after drinking beer haha.
Where are we staying
Paragon hotel, one of the recommended place to stay at Lonely Planet guide. Staying here for $17 per night.
Khmer Deep Oil massage
Lousiest massage ever, me and Shannon’s back are aching like hell from the long bus trips. Our backs are killing us slowly.
Plenty of massage parlour around city area, price around $5-8 per hour. We simply walked in random massage parlour and choose “Khmer Deep Oil massage” package.
First thing the masseuse did is press my inner thigh, “Whaddafuck you want to wake me up meh?!” I think.
“Bing! breathe… breathe… breathe… stay cool and you will be absolutely fine”. The masseuse is not pretty at the first place so nothing will go wrong
The rest of the massage session is mainly only rubbing skin, and friction is burning my skin. Lousy =\
My backache is still there… the only thing they do is mess up my bulu only.
Have a sip of beer – update blog by busy road side
This is one of the moment that I’m looking forward to!
No particular plans to follow, no tour guides to rush – I can sit in a bar, do whatever I like, write whenever I feel like, and work on projects while looking at sunset. Past few days has been a hectic trip and unable to do so.
Phnom Penh night market
Located in the middle of busy town, the market is surprisingly simple and easy to navigate.
The market mostly sell souvenirs, clothing, some food and lots of boot-legged DVD. I wanted to buy some DVD but I’m afraid the DVD content speak in Cambodian language instead of English.
Food selection are limited. All the stalls are basically selling the same items, non-of them do something different from competitor, some times I think if all of these stalls belong to the same owner/company.
The coolest thing I found is that they dine on a carpet, which was layout surrounding the food stalls. Like picnic in middle of market wei!
I wonder what will happen if someone with athlete feet join them for dinner. Hmmm..
Postcard to you
Finally have the time to sit and write post cards..write on paper wei! So old skool hahaha.. super like! I don’t get to do this often.
Do you want a post card? Send me your address (send via contact form) and I’ll randomly choose an address. (try me!)
You got bigger chance if you’re leng lui.
Definitely no chance for males. Sorry.
