Advertorial

My friends recently opened a new design company. They call themselves ‘dip in ink‘.

Every company needs to start some where, they decided to dive into hyper-competitive clothing line to 打頭陣.. and they name their clothing company, RECRUIT.

Enter RECRUIT….

“The Idea behind Recruit is to raising awareness to the youth and young adults of East Malaysia of the ever-growing street wear fashion, arts and lifestyle.” – RECRUIT

I am wearing their first ever design – “Welcome to the Movement”

Main designer, Gary.. working on his next designs while looking after store. One hardworking bee!

Drop by have a visit this weekend. Transform yourself into another person (by purchasing lots of goods, of course!)

$_$ chak ching! lol. Fashion often comes with price, you know.

Besides purchasing goods, you can also hangout at their red sofa, make friends, and talk about fashion. They have vast experience in fashion – get free advice from ‘em!

I was invited to their launch party, unfortunately I am not able to attend due to other commitments. Looks like I missed lots of fun :(

Welcome To The Movement Launch Party @ Chocolate Factory, Times Square

I hope their new fashion brand can inject some freshness into our local young adults and make them realise,

“OMG my emo-hairstyle sucks! and why am I wearing like 飛輪海 (fahrenheit) ?!?!?!”

Most illegal immigrant wear like this lately, don’t know zomakai.

If RECRUIT can make local young adults realise their fashion sense.. I believe they will be in international stage, very soon.

Are you feeling the movement? I do.

Welcome To The Movement.

I was invited to Hyatt Ramadan Buffet, to do food review.

Well, you see… I am not really a food blogger—I just like to to take photos of good food and share with you.

I do not share lousy food on blog, waste my time only :P lousy food do not deserve to get free publication. Which also means, the food I blog here is good.

I am fortunate to get invitation from Dinoza to attend Hyatt’s Ramadan buffet. “Ah Bing! Come we go makan with other KK food bloggers!” he told me on phone.

“Buffet? OKAY confirm come!”

…. then stupid Bing had big meals 3 hours before buffet *totally forgot about the buffet*, I end up tasting instead of feasting T_T

So here are some photos to share with you.

Buffet area

Chocolate fountain

Dessert

Bread

Kuih Apom

Fried food

Skillful chefs preparing food in front of you.

Chicken Tikka

Malay cuisines

Fresh fruits

Steamed dessert

Western food

Pickles

Salads

As you can see from the photos above, the food is not limited to Malay cuisine only—they serve different cuisines to cater in-house guest and western customers who some prefers western food. Even dim sum are served.

The price—slightly on the pricey side, but that’s hotel price mah, confirm got standard one. However, I keep comparing to SHOGUN buffet at Semenanjung Malaysia.. hahaha.

The dining area were jammed pack with hungry customers by 6:30pm. Make sure you come earlier, or make reservations, because seats are limited.

Food quality, I really don’t have to say much lah, Hyatt is a world class hotel, of course they are able to hire excellent chefs. Got standard one, ok? ;)

From left to right—John from Ravejoint.comDinoza from creator of Sabahan Bloggers community. Ms.Tina Goh (Hyatt Marketing Communication Manager). Angeline Ong from Everyday Food I Love and Handsome Bing (haha).

Thank you so much for invitation and the hospitality, I enjoyed my time :)

What?!

The Government is building a coal-fired power plant at Sabah?

THAT’S FUCKING AWESOME!

……..

wait, that is not a good thing right?

……..

Hmm, I guess is not. Our Mother Earth is having sick. Okay, here’s the thing. There is a postcard project to our Malaysian Prime Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Najib Tun Abdul Razak.

What do I want to send postcard to him?!

Well, this is a movement. We, as the rakyat, have to voice our concerns and opinion to Government that we do not support the building of coal-fired power plant at Sabah. Building these plants will demolish some of our precious habitants, and we love our environment.

On 31 October 2009, in Kuala Lumpur, in his keynote address at Tenaga Nasional Berhad’s (TNB’s) 60th anniversary celebration, our dear PM said:

“…The government needs to revise its energy policy, ..the current one [is] obsolete and in need of a revamp… was proven to be costly, both environmentally and financially.

“…coal is what we call DIRTY technology, it’s NOT environmentally friendly,”

Do remind him of his own wise words.

How do I support this?

Easy as 1 2 3

noodge (nooj)
Variant of nudge.
v.

To annoy persistently; pester – dictionary.com

What’s the purpose? And who created it?

Noodge is a creation from my buddy, “Pakker” Boon.

According to the official statement, “Noodge is a clever little thing that doesn’t want to be disturbed! Every time you flick the switch on, turns itself off and goes back into hiding.”

Watch the video if you don’t get it.

Video example

YouTube Preview Image

I bet your first reaction would be “………………….” (/silent)

Why is it being created?

To annoy the hell out of you. No other better reason :)

Pakker Boon always has these kind of weird creation in his mind. We hangout a lot during high school and I remember him making a Spud Gun (a.k.a. Potato Cannon). We were only 16 and we thought of using this cannon to shoot Principal’s car, lol.

We couldn’t afford to buy so many potatoes that time so we replaced with toilet tissues instead. We have brilliant minds.

And no, we didn’t shoot principal’s car. We end up shooting tissues to neighbour’s roof, and had lots of fun ;)

Besides Spud Gun, Boon also attempted many other DIY projects. Projects which includes modify music box, revamp bass-guitar, hobby kits and more. Boon has a passion for creating and building new things, including this Noodge box.

Boon is auctioning his Noodge box at Trademe.co.nz. Current bid is $120 and I suspect the price will skyrocket in final few hours.

Scroll down and read “Questions and Answers” and you’ll see massive of positive feedback, and potential customers in future.

Shit man, you’ve done a great job, Boon!

Interested in this project?

If you find his creation fun, you can get a customised Noodge Box for yourself. Contact him if you are interested.

If I own one of this Noodge box, I will put it in front of office receptions, or maybe in the pub to keep everyone entertained (or annoyed).

Question of the day:
Where will you place this box if you had one?
