Daily Routine

It’s great to meet up with old classmates again. When old classmates sits together around a table, the bond between us creates some kind of strange “belongings”.

I am trying to be smart but I don’t know the scientific term for it. We usually call it..

“38″ (臭三八)

When we sit together. The topic starts to flow, never a quiet moment. I love how this feels. It’s awesome :)

And you know what? We can repeat the same topic every year without feeling annoyed.

  • “That guy tried to molest a little girl and got caught.. Now he is famous”
  • “She tried to swim in toilet”
  • “He touched her boobs”
  • “OMG those weird couples are still together?!”
  • … and more.

Most of the highlights of my life happened during high school, especially the great ones. Still remember during the old days, we love to organize trips to resorts and stay overnight. We bring alcohol and cigarettes to feel the “adulthood”.

  • What’s it like smoke whole night?
  • What’s it like to drink and lost control?
  • What’s it like to have sex?

Ops…! I should never mention anything here.

We usually wake up in a huge-mess. And always pay for the excess cleaning fees. (Not because of the sex.. it’s the VOMIT)

When I was young (am still young).. I had so many fantasies (still does). I have an advice for you. If you are still studying in high school… go ahead and chase the girl you like!!

What will happen then? … most likely you will end up feeling like shit. Like me ^^; But it was fun nonetheless. No regrets mah.. at least I tried. Sometimes get lucky tuuu….

These kind of memories are hard to come by. Trust me. You will have a lot of funny stories to share few years later :)

If you are already in the workforce – sorry lah, you have to work another 30-40 years. No more sweet memories for you anymore. It’s all nightmares, baby. ALL NIGHTMARES.

Enjoy the journey to your death.

Anyway, another thing I want to mention. Do you have any lucky encounters? Like.. both of you are attracted to each other for some time. Your heartbeat goes “buk buk buk buk buk” when she approaches. I do.

I miss the moment when we hold hands – and kissed under the bed of stars.

You know who you are¹ :)

Geoseph poking at my roti tisu…. =__=”

Do you have any lucky encounters during your high school trip?

Share your story.

¹“You are” includes – Charlene, Wivinia, Delonia, Natalie, Amber, Minny, Jessica, Audrey, Joanna, Apple, Grace, Joyce, Chole, Kim, Amanda, Sharon and Alice and etc. Once again, you know who you are. If I missed you out, send me an email and I shall add your name into the list.

HAHAHAHAHA. (don’t take the name list seriously – it’s a joke. get it? I don’t wan to be in front page of high school alumni magazine)

Wow, it’s already week 47 as I am writing this entry. Time really don’t give face ^^;

Here’s a recap for week 41.. and yes, there are week 42, 43, 44, 45, 46, and this week, week 47. I don’t have to time to write, been very hectic these few days. No more than 5 minutes a day in front of computer.

If I have a laptop with me while I travel in car, probably I can write a novel already.

Anyway, here’s the recap.

Practicing my golf swing at driving range, Jerry took this photo. I blogged about this here.

Took some photos for my Brisbane Student Guide website… Haven’t publish this entry yet. 50 pending posts yet to be published. Shit, my drafts posts are piling up but published contents are slowing down. Need someone to proof read for me.

This is another restaurant review I did for Brisbane Student Guide. Visit that website if you want more restaurant reviews.

One night at shabu-shabu restaurant. We had to separate table because buffet meals and normal meals are not allowed to sit in same table. Separate table is not fun :(

One of our senior, Queenie. Invited us over for her housewarming. She has a private pool! so cool!

Queenie is vegetarian. Few days before we go to her house, we purposely eat hell lots of meat because we expect to eat green vegetables at her house. WE WERE FUCKING WRONG.They served the best vegetarian food ever – and 90% are meat (vegetarian meat).

….. I swear almost became vegetarian. I tried and didn’t last for 20 hours.

A random dog at Hawken Drive. Still learning how to use my LX3 camera.

Crowds were queuing up in front of HMV music store. I wondered which artist appear at shop today. One of them told me they were queuing up for Big Day Out ticket..

“Ohhh! Cheers mate! Enjoy the concert!” I replied them in Aussie slang English, heheh.

Jerry keep holding the big camera. He was sooooo passionate about photography. However, two weeks later.. his attention changed to other gadgets – iPhone.

.. and now, he is proud owner of Apple products.

“Are you buying camera soon?”

“No” he replied.

Very delicious ice-cream muaji. Wanted to blog about this but decided not to. No point in explaining how good a muaji tastes -_-”

The other day a friend of mine call me “翻版佬” (The Bootleg Guy).. my old nick name. I haven’t been called like that since high school.

Why 翻版佬??

I download and burn pirated CDs.. hahaha. I sold RM5-RM10 per CD, and I was making a pretty good side income during my high school.

… good enough to buy drinks and fill car petrol.

Do you have any side-income during high school?

My Typical Weekend

by Daniel Wong

Not everyone knows, the Brisbane sand storm hit two times. When the storm hits for the first time, I was lucky to be at home.

Unfortunately, the second time when it hits, I was in a car driving back home from Gold Coast. It was midnight and  the visibility was low, we cannot see anything further than 20m. Lucky enough, we reach home without a scratch.

Mr Q’s car was covered with dust. He need to wash his car. That became our activity for weekend. Hehehe.

He almost cried when we draw silly things on his car. “WOIIII you going to scratch my car!” we continuing draw while laugh, lol.

We went to a Malaysian restaurant called Yahoo. We were very addicted to the food those few weeks. I remember going to this restaurant 5 times a week, for lunch!

I took soooo many photos, until some point, I didn’t bother to take photo anymore.

Yahoo provides the most authentic Malaysia cuisine in Brisbane. No other Malaysia restaurant come closer to that. The food is not only authentic, it’s delicious too!

Can’t wait to go back Malaysia and eat char kuey tiaw ^^;

“老板, zomok 你的炒粿条这样小碟的?给我加大加蛋,两碟!shit!” (用鬼佬腔)

I was wondering, where can I eat 炸豆腐 at Kota Kinabalu?

After our meal at Yahoo, Jerry was covered with sweat. Why? He has extraordinary sensitive sweat gland, especially when he consume spicy food (maggie curry also considered spicy). He ate little sambal, and his forehead was sweating like waterfall man…

“唔點, 我一定要吃冰!!”

We walk out from restaurant, walk 10 steps. Ta daaa!! We reached a dessert restaurant. Haha.

5 people share 2 bowls of dessert. Hmm *sniff sniff* I smell gay. lol. I love that dessert shop, always jammed pack with with leng lui.

Shit! (鬼佬腔 again)

We were so fucking full after eating the desserts (profanity used – I need to emphasize how full we are). We drove to a new car wash destination. Only people who owns car know such secretive place.

Kampung zai like me hardly drove a car in Brisbane. I can proudly tell you I have not explore 50% of Brisbane. If you kidnapped me and dump me at any roadside at Brisbane – I probably get lost and starve to death.

Vincent looks so damn cool when he is wearing HAK CHIU (sunglasses). When he takes off his HAK CHIU, Pei Ling falls in love with him. Hahaha sorry this confuses the readers. Recently this sei zai bao pak toh already. I have to congratulate him!

I feel happy to see another couple emerge from our circle of friend. Hope they take good care of each other and always scrub each other *ahem*

And I want to see little Vincent running around next time I come Australia!! “Uncle uncle!!” wa seh.

I am going back Malaysia in less than 10 weeks time! ^^

Weekly recap series is a recap of random things I encountered during that particular week. Not necessary interesting, more like snippets of the week – daily little things I found I should share with readers.

I wrote Week#38 and Week#39 here.

Chronically, I shall start with Week#40. Here goes.

Khai gave me some curry puffs. He said “I made it with LOVE, baby”.

Ouhhh hell yeah so sexy!! Free curry puffs, I like! Not you, Khai! hahahaha.

By the way… Khai, is it lembu meat? I cannot eat lembu you know? ^^” I think the fillings are lembu when I ate the first one, but then I don’t care that much la… I just whack everything. Question later.

My 2gb SD card. Torn into pieces. Why?

My hand itchy la.. I wanted to know what’s inside. And I “peel off” the plastics. I found nothing interesting inside, only a chip. I tried to resemble it… but… I… couldn’t….

R.I.P High performance SD Card (Shit I should have peel the normal one – I left my brain inside cupboard that day ba..)

Went to Taiwanese restaurant called 7-8 (去吧). Took more photos for Brisbane Student Guide for upcoming articles.

Week#40 is Mooncake Festival. Prepared some fresh fruits, made into rojak and brought to parties. I ate half of them… hahahahaha. I was hyper active at the parties. Blame the sugar ^^;

Jerry met a girl at Reiji, the girl name is… is… is… Charlene. Charlene has been staying at Annie’s place for one year now. And she still looks the same.

Hm.. why is Jerry so lucky.

Oh, Charlene is a poster, stick at Annie’s house for a year now. Hehe.

Went to a new restaurant at Sunnybank, called Umai. Operated by Taiwanese I guess. Where are the authentic Japanese?! Stop opening sushi shops! I want ramen!!

I WANT RAMEN!!!

Reviewed this restaurant too, haven’t post up to Brisbane Student Guide, though. Busy busy busy.

That’s it for Week#40. Ta!

Recap of Week #38 and #39

by Daniel Wong

24 hours is not enough. I am not studying anymore and currently unemployed. Supposedly I have all the time I want. But why is 24 hours not enough? I am not satisfied with my productivity past few weeks. So I wake up early today to catch up with my productivity schedule ^^;

Here’s what I’ve been busying these few weeks.

  1. Pushing out 1-2 articles daily at Brisbane Student Guide; while looking for more contributors
  2. Brainstorm potential topics, and setup drafts. Currently 43 articles in draft mode, yet to be written
  3. Explore potential of Social Media through Facebook, Digg, Stumbleupon and Twitter, using Manyholes.com
  4. Draft more posts for ahbing.com – currently have 18 posts unpublished
  5. Reading “Down Under” from Bill Bryson and “Inside Steve’s Brain” from Leander Kahney
  6. Keeping up with sports – swim and gym
  7. Sell off my stuffs before going back Malaysia
  8. Visa shit
  9. SEO and anchor links, geek stuff.

Besides that, I am also learning about Search Engine Optimization (SEO), copy writing, online entrepreneurship, zen habits and a fair bit of CSS codes.

The knowledge I’ve gained from my uni studies has big influence over my career decision. Slowly but steadily, I am paving the career path with my passion, enhancing with knowledge and wisdom acquire from uni studies. The future path is becoming clearer. I am not sure about the outcome of the chosen path but heck I am charging that direction with full force! I am not afraid to fail.

Ok enough of my philosophy shit. Here are some photos to recap what I’ve done on week #38 and #39 at Brisbane.

We celebrated Brisbane River festival at Ah Long’s place. His house has clear view at the fireworks and jets flying over. Great show! Not to mention great friends and gathering, the night was awesome. Enjoyed my last Brisbane Riverfest thoroughly ^^ Here are some Riverfest photos from Khai.

Melanie recommend me to try the Siuyuk™ at 台湾小调, Sunnybank. She said they prepare the best Siuyuk™ in entire Brisbane. I did not believe her until I tried. It’s so true.

We walked pass a pearl tea shop and Jerry was attracted by a drink called “青蛙撞奶”. He wanted to try and walk in the shop immediately. He did not see the ingredients which were written clearly on below the word 青蛙撞奶… “Tapioca balls with FRESH MILK” ^^;

Uncle is slowly cleaning his 乌龟车 after filling petrol. Taken some shots at petrol station for my article entry at Brisbane Student Guide.

Found this gadget at QUT Engineering lab. I wonder if I can ride this to clubs… sure can bring chicks go home.

Kiu dailou showing off his awesome pool stance – The Sibu Style™

He was imitating the people next to our table.. hahahaha.

Jerry and I played with Chuan’s safety helm and work attire hehehehehe ^^;

Some photos after the dust storm. Every car at Brisbane is dirty. Big word “wash me” written all over the cars.

My fan collected with dust only few hours after the dust storm began. Imagine how dusty is my keyboard and table right now… cis! geramnya. No wonder I felt like 2kg heavier, probably I inhaled too much during jogging session.

How’s your week going?
