I submitted some photo, and then I accidentally got my name featured in a book.
Hin Ching invited me to a book launch. He said “I am inviting you over as a friend, not to cover this event as a blogger”.
Why?
“Because your name is credited in the book—you contributed some photos. We’re giving you the book for free, as credit”
I was like, “eh? really meh? seriously bahhhhhh”
For a moment, I thought I have to give speeches and such…
“I tenkiu my papa and mama for making me so handsome, and haz the given talent to take nice photos, so I can contribute towards this book but still ultimately making me so handsome, yadda ydadda yadda…”
“Just come—and sit there”, said Hin Ching.
The photo on the left is Kota Kinabalu’s new Mayor.
Ehh?? How come I don’t know Kota Kinabalu has a MAYOR one? since when we have mayor ah? KK so small also need mayor meh? Give me some authority, I’ll remake the whole city again (and at least one pub every 10 foot steps).
Uhm, I don’t remember his name unfortunately.
On the right side, is Datuk Masidi Manjun, our Sabah’s tourism minister. I respect this guy—look at how Sabah’s tourism boomed all these years. He must have put lots of effort in promoting Sabah.
If I continue to blog about KK stuff in this blog, I’ll replace his seat in 3 years time. No doubt!

The book is called Kota Kinabalu and Surrounding Areas. Written by Wendy Hutton. Oh my god, written by a gwai poh! Shame on KK folks, no one took the effort to write a book about our culture and land, written by foreigners pulak.

Hmm, a free book is really rather cheap payoff for using your photos. Technically you should be getting some royalties or some monetary compensation at the very least. Considering how those photos would probably be property of the publishers/author or something. Haha ask yslo he could probably tell you more.

Aiming to be Men’s Health cover by 30… but at the rate of my diet/sport ratio….. it’s VERY difficult. Unless I take major lifestyle change or something. Every day yam cha yam cha yam cha.. very susah loh!!
