Please do not read this post after midnight, you’ve been warned

Shokudo is a famous Japanese food court at Singapore. And this is your answer.
No – I didn’t mention it was free. You have to pay cash AFTER you’re satisfied with you meal. No such thing as free meal okkkkkkkkkk.
At first, I was reluctant to go because I’ve exceeded my travel budget but yet I still I had to go because of peer pressure.
“If this is your first time here – YOU MUST GO”
“Har… expensive wo. I eat Fishball noodle is enough”
“GO!” /emphasize
T_T “ok”
Ah well. I guess I can take fucking lots of photos to maximize the value ^^;

What is so special about Shokudo?
Shokudo is a huge food court, serves only Japanese food.

Whenever you order a food, you need to pass this card to them. They swipe the card and automatically charge the amount into your bill. Works exactly like my dad’s credit card.
You need to pay the total amount whenever you exit the premises.
Do not misplaced the card oh.. they charge you gao-gao.

This is the entrance, and this photo only covers 1/5 of the total area.
Probably took me 10 minutes to stroll around and decides what I’m going to eat, while resisting myself from gosok-ing the card too vigorously.
Do not be surprise to see the slightly higher margin of food price. You dine in an excellent atmosphere – and you need to pay few dollars extra for that.
Here are some photos.

The green tea milk is nais.

Goreng Mushroom – OHHHHHH this mushroom tastes better than my mum’s cooking! Must be a lot of ajinomoto! Ajinomoto is from Japan right? based on the spelling…
During high school, there’s one Japanese girl who came to our class as student exchange. I stand up and introduce myself as Ajinomoto-san.
I was 18, and I was stupid.

Eel Omelette with Fried Rice – This dish is okay okay only. The fried rice probably contains only 3 grams of eel meat, and 2 buckets of rice fried with soy sauce. Then wrap it around with egg and sprinkle with seaweeds and KEWPIE MAYONNAISE.
I give this dish 100% because of the mayonnaise. Anything becomes so tasty after adding kewpie mayonnaise.
Well done, Shokudo. You’ve successfully captured my heart.
I can even eat paper with it.

Japanese Pizza – I don’t have slightest clue why they call this a Japanese pizza, the ingredient is 90% similar to Italians.
Funny thing is, when we go get the food, the guy ask us “you want to add dancing fish on it?”
“yes yes yes” said my friend.

Fried Chicken Donnn – After going through so many food stalls and endless choices. I settle down with the most basic and satisfying dish (and happens to be cheapest one! yahooo! me being the cheapskate). Fried chicken on top of rice FTW!!
The fried chicken got raw egg on top some more… nice. The fried chicken is crunchy too… nice x 2.
Last thing. The Japanese Hiragana in first photo is Shokudou, instead of Shokudo. Did they misspell it? Or purposely left one “u” for better spelling.
SHOKUDOUUUUUUU sounds much better leh. Imagine Bob Marley pronounce it in a lazy and sleezy way (or when he is on herb medication). Hehe.
