I have a “new” washing machine

As an oversea student, we often have to look for places to stay. Not everyone can afford to buy apartment or units here. Probably new can la (the rate drop over RM2.52 for Aussie dollar)(edit: RM2.2 already wahahah). It used to be 3.16 exchange rate. Buying a cozy unit close to city cost around one million RM. wtf. But still, someone can afford it (Hi Khai~). Unfortunately, I am not the one.

We have no choice but to rent (most of us do!). We are lucky to find an affordable old unit close to shopping center and major transport facilities. On top of that, it is fully furnished! Wohoo! We have our own sofa, cupboards, mattress, fridge, and even big-ass television!! (probably the size of my head only) Not everything is in brand new condition, but still can be used.

The best furniture that comes with my house is fridge and washing machine.

You have no idea how disastrous is it to live without fridge and washing machine. I tried for three months, and I gave up. And we moved out.

Luckily, this unit provides an old washing machine that works, although only performs at 90% rate. The 10% is sot-sot dei.. it won’t spin dry the clothes or it won’t MOVE at all. There was a period that the washing machine did not work at all. So I rang up the real estate agent and requested them to replace the washing machine (yah we have that priority).

And few months later (YES FEW MONTHS LATER), the owner of the unit finally sent over the washing machine. She called a few times saying “ok I will send over the new washing machine this weekend”, but did not show up. Fong Fei Kei no.1 man..

Oh ya, the washing machine mou din din worked again between those few months.. and until today

“Wow, new washing machine!” Chuan and me cheered. We almost took out our cold beer and celebrate. But it was inappropriate as it was still 1pm.  Then I noticed something…

“Eii… how come only single pipe? Ain’t there suppose to be two pipes? One for hot water and another one for cold water”

We’re curious.. then we opened the lid..

Holy shitttttttttttt!! Pooookeymak BBQWTF that owner!! She sent over a fucking old washing machine! How could somebody use this filthy dirty washing machine to wash clothes? Did she decompose a corpse inside this washing machine before sending it to us? What sort of clothes is she cleaning anyway? She wear clothes from recycled rubbish?

We put our cold beer back into the fridge =\

This is our current washing machine (and forever will be). We have to move this washing machine back into our unit, which is situated at 2nd floor cause this washing machine was previously carried down to garage to replace the “new” one.

We’re so glad the washing machine is working perfectly right now, all we need is some “skills” to operate it. Other than that, everything is perfect! We learnt something from this incident.
