Since Flanegan’s arrival, Khai has been very excited. He has only knew Flanegan for few days, yet they talked like they knew each other forever. Both of them have “same channel”. Photography.

Flanegan studies photography, and this is his photography blog. Khai’s was bitten by photography bug not too long ago.

If both of them were to put into Star Wars context, Flanegan is the Jedi and Khai is Padawan.

Prior Flanegan’s arrival, Khai owns the most canggih camera among us. When Khai takes out his camera, we have to bow before him. Then comes Flanegan with a light saber (bigger and bad-der camera)…

…uh oh.

No one talks to Khai anymore.

Don’t get me wrong. Khai is not secluded. The fact is, Khai was so busy talking photography with Flanegan until we don’t have the chance to talk to him.

One night, Khai suggests to take photo at Mt. Coot-tha. You pronounce it as “Koo-tah”, not “Coot tah”. It’s one of the most amazing night view scene of Brisbane city. And guess what? it’s only 5 minutes drive from my house.

The road to Mount Coot-Tha is curvy and steep. Every single turn Khai takes, we push squeeze to the opposing direction.

“Being squeezed by an elephant that weighs 0.1 ton is fun”, according to both of them. We probably heard a few joint cracks during the ride (seriously).

I wonder how they felt because I put 100% of my weigh on them ^^; I never had the chance of being squeeze by people who were 30kg heavier than myself.

Luckily Chris didn’t die. He was sooooo skinny. Like a stick with a human skin wrapping.

When we reached our destination, we were sweating profusely. We felt like we had just gone through a serious massage and stretches. It’s hell lots of fun :) Next time I want to bring my grandpa along.

While Khai and Flanegan was busy shooting night scene. I set my camera aside and play with long exposures with light. Blogged about it here.

Jerry saw me doing funny actions if front of camera, he was curious.

“What are you doing o?”

“Let me show you some cool shit” (swing my hands in weird motion, then run back to camera) Show him the preview.

“Nohh… 勁超 lehh” (Cantonese: geng chao) I said.

“SHIT MAN THIS IS FUN HAHAHAHAHAHA”

We gather everyone around, and we started doing weird things and silly actions. Many people ponder around us but we don’t give a damn. They can’t see our face anyway.. haha.

Then, Jerry comes up with this idea. He drew a pair of boobs.

“Wah lao… your boob shape looks like 80 years old grannie one.” I said.

“Let me show you the greatest tits of ALL TIME”.

Tits wit HUGE NIPPLES.

Best. Breast. Ever.

Period.

Flanegan came over, grabbed the light. Makes circle with both hands. Pushed up and make another circle.

“What the hell is that ooo….”. We were all curious.

We laughed like MAD when we look at the preview…

Underwater World, one of my favourite place in Sunshine Coast. Why? it’s because I love fish, its such a great creature.. and fishing is my hobby, I am fisherman!

This is my second visit. The first time was three years ago with my girlfriend. I still remember back then the entrance fee was only $8. It’s now $30 for adult. Ridiculous,  but we have no choice.

Purpose of this trip is to bring Flanegan for sight-seeing. Jenny, Sarah, Annie and Serena joined us. Got girls in trip. Syok oh!

Our first stop is Morgan’s seafood. It’s a seafood restaurant beside a harbour. I blog about this restaurant before, here.

OHHHH Satoshi joined us too!!

“I am going to take a lot of photos today!! so many girls in this trip! I would be crazy not to take photossssss. I will take videos alsooooooooooooo” – Bing’s alter ego.

Must put safety belt on Satoshi. He is afraid of death. You know what, I think I am qualify to become a dad. I looked like a dad who can take good care of his own offspring.

And you see? Satoshi is like my son. LIKE FATHER LIKE SON. We resembles.

We are sitting quietly in front of large tank, looking at seals. I find it peaceful, and a sense of serendipity in our own way :) I like this photo.

This post will not be complete without a photo of a stunning fish. I’m visiting an aquarium after all.

http://www.vimeo.com/9037683

I combined all the videos into a short clip.. took me 4 hours to edit this 3 minutes clip. I enjoy the process of editing.. so many fun memories ^^ my mum keep asking me why I replay the video over and over again.

“Is that the girl you like?” she asked. Oppppsss… ^^;

“eh 老母,話不可以亂講哦”

This photo is soooooooooooo sexy! This photo is soooooooooooo obscene! I should put put a 18sx section for ahbing.com. Then put all my photos inside. Haha.

Jenny was extremely excited to see her legs stretched so long. She immediately grabbed my camera and take many many many shots. I would run away if I see people with such disproportionate body, it usually only appears in ghost movies.

Did you enjoy the video? Took me 4 hours to edit a 3 minutes short clip. Geesh.

I should be writing articles and retouch some designs of my sites. Instead, today I choose to update ahbing.com. Why so?

Since I came back, I have not properly meet up with friends yet, except ones I accidentally bump into. Kota Kinabalu is not a large city. Whatever dirty things you do, others will know pretty soon. For example, you go for a date, whole town will question “ehhhhh Ah Bing is hanging out with that girl ah?”

KK is a scary place.

But in the same time, you don’t have to worry about being lonely. Wherever you go, 80% chances you will meet a someone you recognize. I have not experience that part of life for 5 years. Glad to have those feeling back.

I. am. home.

===========

I have so many pending blog entries. Wish I can post everything in one-go (and kill your bandwidth). Hehehe. I think I have 20 pending entries for 2009.. Probably can only start blogging about KK life after end of Feb.

These photos are taken on 17th November 2009. These were long lost tales forgotten long longggg time ago.

Flanegan came Brisbane for 10 days trip and we definitely enjoy his stay. I wonder he enjoyed his stay or not.. Brisbane is such a boring place (I am not taking blame hehe)

If Flanegan didn’t come visit me at Brisbane. I would not had the chance to take photos with these bunch of hard working people. They keep the same pose, from day til night, without receiving any coins in return.

They are real. Trust me.

Flanegan has this killer polaroid camera.. why do I use the word killer? He use camera to get many girls’ phone number already! Fuahh… his level is way beyond me. I thought I am good at these but he is in another level. 一山還有一山高.

This is how he does it – Walk around look for target. Say “excuse me, miss” and  take a quick shot of her. Give her the photo and write down telephone number.

Three words: Hao Lin Gin Yau!! Hehe… three words right?

We toured around Brisbane, walking aimlessly and trying to shoot something. Then came across Anzac Hall. This memorial is build to remember and respect the soldiers who pass away defending Australia long long time ago. There is one silly talking machine, you put your hand on it and it will play music and tell you stories. Very funny one (we aren’t suppose to laugh cause it’s serious to pay respect.. ahh whatever hehe)

We found a Twitter logo printed at carpet inside one of QUT’s newest building. Did they make this on purpose? Anyway if you haven’t join Twitter,  Join now. Add me @ahbing alrights!

I am already missing these Hong Kong dishes at Weng Kei (榮記) 吉列豬排飯. My only favourite dish in the entire menu. I used to hate this restaurant, but since some one accidentally ordered this dish. I tried and fell in love. That’s probably the reason why I have been single for so long..

鰻魚豬排飯? Looks good only ^^;

陰陽不知甚麼鬼飯 – nyia zak an giu si… this is the dish I ordered. Didn’t manage to finish it. I take home half of the meal and surprisingly it taste very delicious the second day.

Some Polaroids from Flanegan again, after spending whole day at city. Next entry… we are heading away from Brisbane!

P/S: I wonder when can I see Flanegan in action with his Polaroid. If he achieve success rate 80% above.. I will buy one. Make a photo album of KK pretty girl. Oh hell yea.

I’ve just arrived at my own home town, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. Feels damn good to be close to family, and to be home. I am missing Brisbane already.

Especially the freezing cold beers.

However, after touching down for few hours. I felt hostile, more hostile than ever – all illegal immigrant’s child has grown to teen, and they tend to be more rebellious, especially at their current age, causing troubles to society.

I officially declare KK is not safe place. Not safe to walk alone, not even in public places. Unless you have a gun on your hand, a lastik in your pocket, or really really huge eye balls that can shoot lasers.

Kota Kinabalu has changed considerably since I left for studies. Here’s my thought.

Road traffic increased. There are damn many cars on the road due to easy loan schemes from local car producers. I bet you can see one Myvi in every five cars (definitely got one with loud exhaust, very cool one) Probably will be my first car I ever purchase when I can support financially. Just maybe. Without the vroom vroom exhaust.

Malaysia’s food price are a lot cheaper compared to Australia’s, one of the biggest factor is the currency. However, Sabah is one of the state where everything is more expensive than other states. A normal bowl of noodle costs RM7, compare to RM4-RM5 at West Malaysia. Damn, no wonder we’re so poor.

I am more conscience with my expenses since I am not receiving allowance from parents anymore (should have started saving earlier, heh). I became a frugal person as far as I am aware of. Each purchases are put into considerations. I struggles between “needs” and “wants”.

Haven’t hang out with any friends since the day I return.

Honestly, I am not ready for that yet. So many things I want to settle before I resume my social life.. yum cha, night life, sports and etc. I have a new set of goals before I return from Australia, and I want to focus on that mindset for time being before getting distracted.

Now you know my intentions of not going out. Don’t give up calling me just yet! I love getting calls from you guys.. hehehe. The best part is when I reject.. “noloh… I am not going out loh…”

HAHAHAHAHAH

My camera has been in hibernate mode for two weeks.

Maybe is because of the thought that ahbing.com is closing down, I lost the enthusiasm in personal blogging. This thought crossed my mind for many times. I am moving on to something bigger, hopefully more successful. Personal blogging used to be fun, but it felts like a task, or routine, whichever comes first. I don’t like it.

I still have many pending posts.. all of ‘em at months overdue. Forgot most of the posts details but you will definitely enjoy reading those entries :)

I went to a few shopping malls, alone.

Main purpose is to survey the quality of local pretty girls. Man, I am disappointed! Where are all the pretty girls ha? Why hide at home? Come out leh! I got so angry that I accidentally bought newest iMac. I almost bought another one for my sister too. My dad got so upset with local pretty girls too so he gave me the green light to purchase one for me.

Yes. I bought an iMac.

No, the part about my dad was just a joke.

It’s easy to impress my mum with new gadget. We played Photo Booth.

My mum said she loves my computer. Hehehe. My mum looks like 20 years older while I became Frankenstein or some sort.. a bald Frankenstein. I love my mum cause she’s so noisy :)

Yet to master the new beast, going to spend more time personalizing and learn the shortcuts. I shall give my iMac a name. Any ideas?

I personally felt that Kota Kinabalu does not feel the same to me anymore.

During my study breaks, I always come back with excitements and plans. Catch up with friends, unlimited “to-do” list, ever lasting yum cha sessions and more. I wake up every morning with excitement, “WOW today is another busy day”. I am not feeling this anymore. As if I have all the time I want, and do whatever I want as long as I still can survive with my own savings. Or is it because everyone has started with their journey, and I only started to depart my own journey, leaving behind and feeling lonely?

Walao I don’t even understand what I was typing on previous paragraphy.. if you understand what I am trying to say, give me a call 016-8158886 and we go out for a date. If you have gugujiao, don’t bother. My mum will flying kick you. She desperate for a grandchild now.

I consider this a ranting post. If you read from top to bottom, I thank you for your patience. This entry seems like written by a long-winded old geezer.. man, I am only 25 this year! Some of you would definitely say “WOIII you’re only 25 and you complain! I am XX years old and [..insert the rest]”

HAHHAHAHAHAH

It’s already 2010? Shit.

January 2, 2010

First of all, Happy New Year to all my readers, 2009 was quite a blast, isn’t it? It’ll be end of the world in 3 more years. What are your future plans? (brainwashed by 2012 movie, lol)

Personally, I think end of the year is good for self-reflection. What did you achieve last year? What are the most memorable events that happened to you? Any life changing ones?

I do.

I decided to stop my Masters studies (completed half) and start on a brand new adventure. Dare myself to follow my passion despite all the bias. I have nothing to lose. I am young and dare to fail. No one can stop me.

And I decided to return to Malaysia, for time being. Before moving to another state/country again, I need to spend time with family. I had been away from home for more than 5 years. It’s about time to go back and start another chapter of my life.

The only thing that I will definitely miss when I return Malaysia – the freedom. Occasionally, the internet speed ^^; Luckily I don’t download movies or music as much as I used to, or else it’ll be pain in the ass.

==========

Do you have new goals for 2010? New plans for new chapter? Life is unpredictable and if fucks you hard when you least expect it. I have plans, many plans. But plans are merely only plans if there are no actions. I have listed down things I want to do and goals to achieve, in concise manner. Have you planned yours yet? Here are mine.

Passion

Past few months I have been trying to figure out what I am suppose to do with my life. I have not found the absolute answers yet, but one thing that caught my serious attention – I want to make living through internet, either physical products, information products, expertise or consultation service, I want to give it a try. Internet is only 15 years old and I still have lots to explore.

I am not joining the 9-5 workforce, also known as the “Rat Race”. It’s fun to work with colleagues, especially if you’re surrounded with hot office ladies. However, ultimately you’re working for someone, not for yourself. I don’t like the idea of spending my time for others. I rather invest time and effort for myself.

Income

Like I mentioned above, I wanted to make my living through internet. Past 3 months I’ve invested a lot of time and effort in conquering the steep learning curve. It’s not easy to make money because the barrier of entry is so low that everyone is trying to do the same. But there are definitely chances to succeed.

So far I am only making hundreds of ringgit a month.. I hope to reach USD$1,000 each month by the end of 2010, and leverage from that point. I have witness successful case and I am pretty confident I am capable to do this as well.

Physical Fitness

I am no longer forcing myself to do sports. I do sports automatically whenever I felt like it, and I hope to be the same in 2010, except adding more to the routine. Swimming is the most frequent sport in 2009, and I want to keep it that way. Probably add another resistant sport such as boxing, karate or maybe taichi. Weight-lifting is too bored, bleh.

Mental

Being optimistic is one of my strength, yet my weakness. I can bet on “0” on roulette for hundreds of times with high hopes in every bet. This is only a case example, and happened before. Another example is, I can leave all the shit until last minute, and I say “everything will be fine”. One more example, I write an article for my blog, and without proper marketing and promotion, I naively thought the visitors will find me automatically because I poured my efforts. I hope my excessive opportunist behaviour can be utilized in better situation.

I hope to acquire knowledge and wisdom, in whichever life path I take. Knowledge is never enough. A Chinese proverb once said “You keep learning until the day you die 活到老,学到老”. Period.

Besides that, books are another source of inspiration and motivation. I like to read biographies and lessons from persons who personally had that problem, mentors who actually walk the walk, not talk the walk. Learn from others’ mistake. I am proud to say that I’ve read 28 books in 2009, favourite ones include Seth Godin, Darren Rowse, Tim Ferriss, Yaro Starak, Richard Brandson and Neil Strauss (ahem)

===========

2010 just arrived, good reason for another new start aye? I am lazy to continue. My beer is freezing cold, perfect condition to consume. 12 days left to enjoy my Tooheys.. *sigh*

Happy New Year to all of you!

Sorry for the lack of update these days. I have been busy being a tour guide since the day Flanegan came around mid November. I hardly have the time to sit in front of computer and blog. The photos…. gila babi. 10 days trips in Sydney and Cairns already used 26gb.. haven’t add the rest.

Following is my itinerary:

14-24 November = Flanegan
25-27 November = Trip preparation
28-02 December = Sydney travel
03-08 December = Cairns travel
10-23 December = Parents and grandparents
23-05 January = Celebrations and Boon arrival

This entry is only ONE event out of 10 days during Flanegan’s arrival. This is part 1/10… lol.

Wanted to make videos instead of photos.. one thing is stopping me. You know what? It’s called laziness. Another 10 days of Sydney and Cairns trip some more.. omg omg omg.

We rent two huge cars trucks lorry because we wanted to spend more time together on car and cut fuel costs.

We were very excited because we no longer need to sleep throughout our long journey. We kept laughing non-stop because we never done this before, super excited ^^;

Look how huge is the lorry vehicle.. hahaha. I am sitting on a 12 seaters Commuter. Another vehicle is 8 seaters. We have huge rooms to stretch our leg. Lovely ^^

Had a short breakfast at Oriental Restaurant at Sunnybank. The food.. is.. extremely lousy. I had instant noodle for $7.90. I had no choice hahaaha.

Look at the amount of people… lol. The Byron Bay trip started as a 5 man… then expands 3 folds! hahahhaha. Initially it was my plan because I wanted to bring Flanegan for a road trip. Subsequently Jerry invited more friends and took over, became main organizer ^^;

Man, I’m glad that he took over responsibility while I entertain Flanegan.

Went to a petrol station nearby to fill up. We went to toilet for awhile and Phoebe took the chance occupy the driver seat.. act like she’s driving a toy car. We thought she’s just fooling around. Then, out of our expectation.. she said:

“Ok, let’s go”

“HA?!” we responded in shock. Looked at each other.

Personally, I was worried because I know she had not driven any vehicle since she arrived Brisbane two years ago.

Started engine.. right on the first corner, Phoebe drove over the ramp. I immediately put on my safety belt.

After a few turns, I realize she’s not as a lousy driver as I expected. Through out the journey, Phoebe proves to be a steady and confident driver. Out of so many female driver I know, she turns out to be a good one. I am gladdddd ^^;

Our first stop is supposedly to be at Tugun. No idea why we reached a better spot instead ^^” GPS device malfunction (in a good way). However this places turns out to be a heaven. Definitely coming back to enjoy the scenery and ocean breeze if I had the chance.

Clear blue sky and white sand. It’s not crowded like Gold Coast.

One of my long lost signature shot… SS (syok sendiri) shot with myself while everyone squeeze at my back. I love my camera’s wide lens :D

Tried to act like a pimp daddy while I take this shot.. I was excited for 10 seconds *hehehe* Thanks Chris for holding the camera longer than usual. You are my man.. *拍胸口, 啪啪!*

This photo is taken at another stop, called Kings Cliff.

Jenny (left) looks stunningly beauuutiful here. Sarah too…

I am playing air guitar. You can ignore me.. but don’t ignore the beauty of mother nature.

Only one thing cross my mind when I was at that spot… guess what cross my mind?

We reached another destination again, called “Hasting Point”. The birds are facing same directions hahahhahaha. So cute right?!

Sarah, you looking hot in this picture!!

Some of use taking a short rest on the grass while enjoy the amazing scene.

Omg I forgot to sensor Heng Ngee…

Next destination – Byron Bay Light House!

We took photo of each other ^^; you know, camera man always very kasihan one because we can’t be in the amazing photos *getting emo*.

Often have to ask other to take photos for us. Sometime a bit pai-seh to keep asking favors from others. I always welcome extra camera buddy in any sort of gathering ^^

Byron Bay is the most Eastern tip of Australia.. like the sign board says. I am repeating after the sign board only.. hehe.

The geological placing of Byron Bay is perfect spot to view sunset. We spent the last 10 minutes looking at the sun… keep asking ourselves “why the sun haven’t go down one… won’t move de… why so long…” hahaha.

The silhouette color is mesmerizing. We often get too occupied with daily lives and worry about things that doesn’t matter to us, ignore what mother nature offers. Stop, take a deep breathe and enjoy. Life is short, enjoy every moment :)

Jenny is making a love symbol behind me, naughty…

It’s already sunset when we return. We stopped by at Gold Coast and had dinner…

From left – Sarah, Jenny, Pei Ling, Vincent, Q, Jerry and Sarawak Samseng, Chris.

From left – Flanegan, Ah Long, Phoebe, Serena, Eric and Ida.

Took a group shot with our two vehicles. We return home happy because it was such an awesome trip. It will be nice if we can do trips like this more often. Feels like a huge family and I love that feeling ^^

This is a rare photo because Heng Ngee is willing to take photo with us.
