I flew to Lahad Datu for 3 days 2 nights for my uncle’s wedding. He is marrying an Islam wife so he is converting to Islam.
Among my closest relative, I think he is the 3rd relative that converted to Islam.
I tell you, if you have the chance to come over my house for Chinese New Year, you can see white black yellow brown color skin. Luckily no one marries any Avatar character yet (color is blue).

This is how you claim your luggage at Lahad Datu airport. All manual hard work tu… no conveyor belt (ngam ka this term? please correct me) to transfer your luggage like most major airport do. lol.

We are in blue and the opposite family is in purple.
Malay style feast never fails to impress me. The entire kampung invades your house from morning and night, and you keep feeding them. I wonder how many cows were sacrificed for this event.

When we are done with our first round of invasion, we decided to pay a visit to nearby… nearby place… erm… erm…
Shit I forgot what’s that place called.
Something related to protected wildlife near Lahad Datu.
But nevermind – the main point is, we have no idea how far it is so we departed Lahad Datu quite late.

First row are my aunts (I have pretty aunts), and sleeping cousins in the back row of car. They must have been tired from playing too much iPad games, lol.

Many see palm oil on the truck, but I see MONEY. I can smell the money from far far far away…
Only if I have 200+ of these trucks on the road transferring my palm oil daily.

It’s litter every where from nearby kampung. It’s heart breaking to see such beach being littered.

Cousins pretend they didn’t hear anything and they did the Oppa Sabah Style dance. They dance with the element of lalazai moves… that’s why it’s Sabah style, lololol.
They are upcoming young talents in Sabah. Remember them!

Apa lagi? Ini kali lah! All the beers are chilled before we go to dinner… and this is where the party starts.
Cousins play with cousins and aunts and uncles rebonding, blow water kuat kuat.
Endless topic after intoxication, and that often brings family closer together.
I love these gatherings because no one pays attention to phone/iPad/gadgets.
It’s pure communication and bonding.

“Eh Baxter, mana ada tempat makan sadap sini?”.
My cousin Baxter grew up here at Lahad Datu for many years so he brought us to a local mamak restaurant for lunch. We speak many languages in our family, from Mandarin to Cantonese to Malay to English to Dusun.
Nope, we haven’t make any advancement in Hindu yet.

We still have 1 hour to kill in Lahad Datu so we go long kai loh. I suggested to go check out the newest mall around to see if there’s any space for rent (for ZenQ expansion).
Uih, big opportunity here oh to be honest. But I don’t have much money to do any more investment right now ^^;

We spend the entire afternoon exploring Lahad Datu, then fly back to KK again via bulubulubulubulubulubulubulu airplane again.
