Tales of Four Virgins – Ventures to Chillagoe Caves

P/S: This post back dates to November 2009. When I was 8 months younger :P

If you don’t know, “Tales of Four Virgins” is a series where me and my buddies (Chris, Jerry and Chester) went on a 10 days trip. We spent 4 days at Sydney, then rests of the journey at Cairns.

We rented a bad-ass car. Why? We need a bad-ass mobile to venture into desert part of Australia :D

Ah, now you only realised Australia has desert too ha… :P

We drove 2 hours to look at some cave that’s supposed to have cavemen inside or something.

On the way, we found a farm that sells fresh lychees for $2 bucks for huge bag. We immediately pull handbrakes and drift into the farm, like Initial D.

$2 a bag woh. Fresh from farm some more. Cannot resist.

And both lychees in my hands cost only $4.

We were about to venture deeper into Australia uncivilised territory, we need to make sure our tank is full. Just in case we were lost or something, at least we can search our way out with more fuel..

First time fill up fuel with old school tank.. awesome experience :)

I have to remind you another time, we were visiting CAVES. Don’t expect any blonde chicks wearing bikinis.

Habitants and surroundings started to change slowly once we get closer to the caves. Everything becomes dryer.

The destination we looked for is a small kampung, not even 200 population if I’m not mistaken. (yes I made that up, the number is probably less than 200, hahaha)

And what’s the best thing?

The cave is privatised… and they LOCKED UP the cave entrance because business hour were over.

I didn’t know we can do things like that =__=

We were prohibited to visit the caves unless we were guided by professionals. Was warned not to get close to caves too. But we don’t care also la, because we have balls of steels and partially functional brain.

I tried to look for alternative entrance but failed.

Look at how deep is the cave. We didn’t venture into the cave because non of us has torch lights ^^;

Nothing else we can do, so we left. A bit disappointed.

We wanted to make good use for the rest of the day, so we venture other places. So we purposely drive blindly in every direction.

… and guess we found?

Nothing :)

We decided to return early and have a better rest. We were still tired from trips (and the laughing) from past few days.
