Tales of Four Virgins – Expedition to Sydney (Day 1)

Alert: This is a long post – get yourself a coffee and make yourself comfortable before reading

I went to Sydney few months ago with a few buddies. One of the best trip of my life. I took 26gb worth of photos and videos in 10 days time.

Within 10 days time, we visited 3 places

  1. Sydney
  2. Canberra
  3. Cairns

Initially I want to make the whole trip into a video documentary – I have a draft video but the process takes up too much time and effort. I’ll make one large video in the end if time permits..

With 26gb of photos and videos, I can write up to 20 blog posts if I wanted to, but these posts has been delayed for toooooooo long. I have to clear the old posts or else have trouble catching with current events.

So here is it:

Sydney – Day 1

Our flight to Sydney is 5am. We tried to sleep at 11pm but we failed miserably.

It’s difficult to sleep when you’re too excited.

Rented a Toyota Corolla. The customer-service shucks during wee hours… the lady is very grumpy.

We found brothel (妓院) beside our backpacker..

THE WILD ORCHID.

Wahhh lau!! the word “wild” turns me on. I like things rough :)

Wanted to check out the brothel but all of us don’t have balls.

“Ain’t this suppose to be an adventure trip? Why so scare ohh?”

Haih! We are damn pathetic bunch of virgins.

In the middle of nowhere, there is a Santa Clause parade. Every participants wear a Santa costume and run marathon! Very interesting sight :)

Plus that day I wear red T-shirt.. got a “福” imprinted on my shirt some more. I feel like 財神 hahaha.

財神 vs. Santa Clause. Haha.

That event get a lot of media attention, but I still have no idea what’s that event. Anyone knows?

We had our first meal at Sydney’s famous dim sum restaurant - Zilver. Best dim sum I ever had in my life. Seriously.

I may looked cool in the photos, but after my first 燒賣 bite.. I jump around like a little kid.

Harbour Bridge. We thought there was a mild sandstorm when we take the photos. The whole city looks hazy. Few days later only we realised there are bush fires around the state.

In front of Opera House. Finally…. after 25 years.. I witness this great building with my own eyes, right in front of me!!

Opera House is also a very old architecture. The interior looks like my primary school multipurpose hall ^^;

Took a lot of photos – and this is only like 1/10000 of the complete photos.

Chris trying to catch some sleep.

If we were Ultraman, the red “danger” signal on our chest have been beeping whole morning.

Our mood fluctuates through out the day. It raises after we had great food, and drops after we walk 50 meter away from restaurant.

And continue drop until find a place to rest.

Jerry found a tree that looks like chocolate starfish (asshole) while we were trying to catch some rest in a cafe.

What happens when our mood dropped til the lowest point? We seek food.

This time, we head to Sydney’s fish market. Had been getting lots of positive reviews from my peers. All of them say similar things:

“if you never visit Sydney Fish Market, you never arrived Sydney”

I totally agree.

Professional Oyster Peeler – I didn’t know such occupation exists.

EEEEkkkkk!! fresh salmon sashimi for only $19.90 per kilo!

One plate of salmon belly sushi costs $19.90 in Gold Coast Japanese Restaurant. One plate = 2 slice of sashimi.

Half kilo of salmon belly for only $10.00…. this. is. heaven.

I shall emphasize again,

THIS. IS. HEAVEN.

We stayed at backpackers, for only $30 per head for one night.

We don’t mind staying in a small room. 4 lanjiao sleep together won’t have any “spicy” thing happen. If there’s a girl with us, maybe got little problem la..

Oh, the only problem is – when nature calls. 4 of us will fight for toilet.

“我的大便要出來了啊啊啊啊啊~”

Night scene in Sydney

I met Kristy, my high school friend! The world is not that small afterall ;)

Kristy looks so gorgeous. The last time I met her was 3 years ago. We celebrated New Year Eve together.

(DAMN!! should have chase after her at high school, when she’s still chubby..)

Largest Chupa-Chups I ever seen! Each weigh at least 2kg.. lol. I use the huge Chupa-Chups to hit Chris’s head and he almost cried.

I think I saw his tears in split second.. hahaha.

Amazing landmark in the middle of city.

These were the little interesting things that happened through out the day..

  • My swiss knife was confiscated at airport. A birthday gift from my ex
  • A drunkard asked “what is wing nut?”
  • Chris said he want to move to Sydney – it’s one of the “100 to do things before I die”
  • The prostitutes at Kingscross are OLD. Who would see them naked?
  • Is Lee Street a gay street? I see many gay couples there holding hands
  • Sydney University looks like buildings in Harry Potter
  • The compound of University of New South Wales is fucking huge
  • Westend Backpackers is smelly
  • First impression of Sydney - Huge, dirty, unorganized, busy, haze, different from Melbourne and Brisbane
  • You can never drive more than 60km/h in Sydney…
