ZenQ Company Trip to Nexus Karambunai Resort

Last week was the first time our ZenQ crews has an official “off” day, since the beginning of everything.

We open 7 days a week, 13 hours a day – we don’t really have much extra time to go any outings.

Finally, after many months of hard work, we decided to have our first “off” day, and invited all ZenQ crews to Nexus Karambunai Resort for holiday.

For some of you who don’t know, I run ZenQ with another partner, Kevin. Business has been smooth so far, we’re blessed :)

Not all of the crews are able to make it, I think we are missing at least 4-5 of them. But the plan has to go on without them, right?

They are going to miss out so much fun. I wish we can invite back all the ex-ZenQ crews also – it will be a damn fun outing.

Our first destination is at Puh Toh Sze Temple.

Although not all of us are buddhist, we went there to pray for safe journey and hope for more good luck in future. There has been a streak of minor car accidents past few months and we prayed that none of those will happen again.

When you hanging with a bunch of crews that is at least 10 years younger than you, you will feel young again.

I totally feel it.

If I join these trips few more times, I definitely need more time to grew older and wiser again hahaha.

We stayed at Nexus Karambunai Resort Villa for 2 days 1 night.

Price? Didn’t care much – just stay and have fun!

High class villa? Check.

Keropok? Check.

Beers? Check.

ZenQ uniform? Check. <– they need to go back to work second day. So we pack cloths for second day as well, lol.

Ouh, the villa has private swimming pools. Niceeeee.

The purpose of the trip is to improve bondings within crews, and also relax.

However with all the games we plays (and the sports), most of the crews can’t even stand properly because all of them have same problem.

“We don’t do sports nowadays”

So a game of soccer and a few runs killed majority of them.

Luckily we (directors) set a ground rule: no holiday application after the company trip. Hahahhhaha. If not, our ZenQ is kosong the next day.

Ah Ming enjoying himself in private pool. It’s like heaven especially during a hot sunny day.

Others prefered to have beer and sun-bath for the rest of the afternoon.

I had like 3 bottles of beer before they started the game so I dooze of in the middle of the afternoon. Feeling dizzy and hot..

PS. don’t imitate me – you’ll end up having major headache when the booze effect is over.

Solution? Keep drinking.

We had dinner at Gayang Seafood restaurant.

Apologize for not showing any food photo here – NONE OF US REMEMBER TO TAKE PHOTO.

All of us were soooooo hungry after booze, sports, and all sorts of physical activity games during the afternoon. Keropok were gone 20 minutes after we’ve arrived.

We had so much seafood until we were so full, we even complain when complimentary desserts arrived “HAAA still got ahhhh?”

It’s all good. Dapao for supper!

How can a company trip without beer games?

The beer game really improved the bonding between the crews like <————-> that much.

We played a card game, sort of like “truth or dare”. But instead of “truth”, each card required you to do one silly thing – if you don’t want to do, then you’ll have to drink a glass of beer.

The best one is “you cannot speak XX language in 15 minutes – one offend = one glass”

“scroll to 7th person in your phone contact number and tell them you’re drunk”

“drink a glass of beer then do 20 sit ups”

“make the person on your left side to laugh within 1 minutes, or else you drink”

11pm – all surrendered. Go to sleep.

What a lovely sight.

9am all had breakfast and went back to ZenQ routine. Serve best desserts to customers!
